George Washington pulled off one of the greatest upsets in history & The United States was born. But what does this have to do with football? Well the same tactics that Washington used can be used to beat a superior opponent in football.
1. Never go toe to toe with the opponent- attack the perimeter. Pick & poke, jab & move.
2. Drag the opponent into the Fourth Quarter. Favorites get frustrated when they can’t dominate an opponent. Jim Valvano said “The only lead that matters is the one at the end of the game” Plan on winning in the 4th Quarter.
3. Play scorched earth on defense, never go all in on one play.
