See what is really there

We tend to “see” what we think is there and what we want to be there as opposed to what is really there.

Think back to when you have had to edit your own work. It’s so easy to see what you think you wrote as opposed to what you really wrote because your mind sees what it wants to see.

You have to really challenge yourself to see what is really there and that is not only the case when it comes to editing what you write it’s also the case in every day life. We see positives where we expect to see positives and we see negatives where we expect to see negatives.

It’s worth it to challenge yourself to try to always see what is really there and not just what you expect to be there.

Have a great day!
